So my dog loves this hedgehog, it's one of her favorite toys (along with the Outward Hound snake). I've bought her both the XL and the Large hedgehogs. Just FYI, she finds the Large a bit easier to pick up; the XL is really, really large. Both the XL and the Large hedgie will grunt and squeak. I just bought another one as a reserve! I'd recommend this dog toy based on my dog (sample size of 1).

Just to be clear, I'm not a shill; I've personally bought this deal and I think it's slick. My dog likes this Outward Hound hedgie, moreso in the L than the XL just because of her size. I think this is worth $5.10 for my doggie's enjoymment. If the Outward Hound snake ever goes on sale again, I'll post that deal, too!

My 45 lb aussie doodle loves this toy, esp cause it grunts. What everyone says it true, it doesn't tend to last that long, but he doesn't eat the stuffing and puke it out like he used to. I just buy a few of these and intermix them with his other toys that last longer. He'll keep playing with this one even after all the stuffing and squeakers are out.

Got this last time. My dog took the grunter out within 5 minutes or so. Had the stuffing out within another five and then it was nothing but a hedgehog shell

Bought it for the dog last time but the XL is as the size indicates is pretty big. Dog was not really interested but instead the kids love it and play with it.

My Schnauzer loves this! But I got the XL when it was on sale for the same price, which isn't much bigger than the large and the XL comes with squeakers in the feet. The smaller sizes (Large and down) don't have that.

Actually the Large also has speakers in the feet. I know because I have this size. I believe the Small and Medium hedgies do not have the squeakers, but the Large definitely does.
