This is incorrect. The P-SLC cache serves a completely different purpose than DRAM. DRAM is used to hold a copy of the Flash Translation Layer (FTL), which keeps track of where data is located. The P-SLC cache, which is what you're referring to, is simply a write buffer. They serve different purposes. That said, DRAM-less drives do tend to suffer a considerably greater performance hit when they are filled up.
not everyone needs DRAM

Team Group and Patriot are the most reliable SSD brands that's why they're so well promoted here lol

not many need 2tb 2.5" drives anymore.. desktop upgrades of sysyem drives is saturated for almost 2 years+
Guess its time to make the move to solid state storage now

The non-DRAM SSD will use a section of the 2TB to work as DRAM. As long as you keep 300GB for example, or more space free, the speed won't be an issue.

You do need to pay attention to what NAND flash is in it. But they don't disclose this information.

A-zon is price matching: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087K9L...B08B1WQY3D

Here are the spec sheets at Patriot. They've been a reasonably good brand for me in the past.

That's a technically inferior performing buffer method as you should know, but also, reducing the storage capacity to accommodate this cheaping out is completely silly.
