There are very few moving parts in a liquid cooler. Essentially there is the pump impeller, which is just a tiny fan inside the water that makes the whole thing flow, and the motor that controls it.

If anything, it may be some piece of mind to now that these particular units were opened up, checked for any kind of contamination or permeation problems, and passed a QC check on their impellers. they may very well last longer than a new product as a result. for a product like this i'd not hesitate to buy refurb.
I bought one a few months ago. No problems. Very happy with it. It seemed brand new.
Bought one, on the last sale no issues

Is it safe to buy refurbished cpu coolers? I'm currently in the process of upgrading several PC components and this seems like a good price

Alright, I bought one. Hopefully there is no issues with it. 90 day warranty only.

I bought one, but will be sending it back. The 90 day warranty scares me, when there have been so many people complaining about pump failure and leaks. Paying for the new unit when on sale makes more sense, considering the 5 year warranty (which covers equipment damage upon failure). I'm running a Arctic eSport 34 air cooler, and not worried about leaks at all.

The only part that has failed for me is a AIO liquid cooler. Although given that I don't buy a lot of components and it was a really shitty msi AIO cooler that came with the build it might not be a general concern.

Arctic-official-USA store on eBay has a bunch of their b-stock (open box) coolers for prices around this, featuring RGB options as well. Same 6 year warranty applies as it would to their A-stock. I just picked up a Liquid Freezer II 420 AIO for $95 after tax

I've bought 7 of these (mainly the 280mm and 360mm) and have had no issues with any of them. I have used 5 and harvested the fans off 2 for a different build as it was cheaper to buy the aio at the time then the fans on there own.
