If anything, it may be some piece of mind to now that these particular units were opened up, checked for any kind of contamination or permeation problems, and passed a QC check on their impellers. they may very well last longer than a new product as a result. for a product like this i'd not hesitate to buy refurb.

I bought one a few months ago. No problems. Very happy with it. It seemed brand new.

The only part that has failed for me is a AIO liquid cooler. Although given that I don't buy a lot of components and it was a really shitty msi AIO cooler that came with the build it might not be a general concern.
