Basically, you get what you pay for. There are other options, but I have heard Wiz is not that good. They are also wifi bulbs that only work on 2.4ghz.
And if you are anti-hue, then I strongly recommend a zigbee 3.0 bulb with a zigbee 3.0 hub

But no, I've never seen a bulk discount on Hue.
I've never heard of such a thing. Seems Lutron or Legrand are the ones I see in new-build/contractor situations. Don't even know if either of those companies bother with color bulbs though, it's mostly in-wall products.
