Most camp cooking happens less than 20 feet from where you parked the car. I wouldn't recommend this for backpacking use.
In for one at Amazon. Tired of FedEx delivering all my Walmart orders to God-knows-where. There's one house from a FedEx photo that I want to know where they got their faux stone paneling from. lol
I have the same issue with FedEx.

You probably want something like a lodge 4-4.5qt enameled dutch oven. Not a 8qt bare metal
Non-enamel, regular Dutch oven should be fine for home bread making, but you would prefer the flat bottom Dutch oven like someone said. This OP Dutch oven has legs which is great for campfire cooking. I have one to take to car camping. You can still use this one in the home oven. Just a little tricky with legs. I use my Dutch oven with legs on the camp stove as well as in the campfire.
Size of the Dutch oven depends on how big they want their sourdough bread to be. Eight quart may be too big for bread making.

It's still alive at Amazon for the time being.

It's an amazing gift, really. Especially for anniversaries, birthdays and finalizing divorces.
You want a flat bottom modern Dutch oven.
Legs are for campfire/cowboy/rustic cooking.
Both are awesome
