    The step light uses C batteries and path light uses D batteries. From my usage I have seen Duracell batteries from Costco are the best for these. I have tried rechargable C batteries but they don't last like Duracell non recahrgable ones

    Links for path lights and spot lights seem to be good. Step lights are dead though.

    There are amp ratings of rechargeable batteries find the ones with the highest rating you have to search hard. They are not all the same the higher amp rating the longer it lasts.

    I use these on my stairs after getting tired of swapping out batteries on my Mr. Beams. The sync function drains the battery too quick for my taste, but the individual function works great.
