    Yep, read the AudioScience review.

    The biggest issues seem to be to expect about 80w/continuous per channel into 8 ohm speakers, and that the cooling fan is very loud....which makes no sense for home use in a cool Class D amp. There are a lot of articles on the google on how to replace the fan with a quiet one. The specs are OK in terms of noise/distortion for normal home use.

    The Digital Signal Processing Parametric EQ and App are VERY slick. You can use a free EQ program like REW to measure the response of your speakers in the room, and then program in the right curve to make them accurate. Excellent!

    I use the nx3000d Amp to power my homebuilt vbss subwoofer. The 1000d would do just fine to power one. You can change the fan easily to a Noctua NF-A8 FLX and it's whisper quiet.

    These are pro amps used for DJs etc for use with a speakon connector. You could modify it, of course. This includes replacing the fan to a more silent one.

    Thumbs up for the VBSS reference. I've looked at building one (or two) for a long time, but ended up buying something out of Craigslist instead.

    This amp is rated in what I like to callBehry Watts. Where 1 Behry Watts = 0.2 watts RMS continues power. Don't get me wrong, Behringer has really stepped up their game in the last ten or so years. Especially their higher-end mixers. But they still have wildly overrated amps and speakers.

    Absolutely and is a common use for it. The output is not super efficient to deliver what it is rated at, but these were tested to deliver about 800 watts to a single Channel. I run a NX6000 on two of my subwoofers and its been great. Going on 5 years now with no issues at all.

    Yep, behringer makes great bang for your buck amps. I have a NX6000 powering two custom enclosed SVS PB 16 Ultra drivers. a little over 5years now and no issues.

    I have been running the older version of this amp with the above mentioned fan mod to run 2 vbss sub woofers for a couple of years. I am planning on upgrading the amp to nx3000 and use the current one I have to run a couple of BOSS platforms.
    This is a good deal if anyone is planning for a BOSS platform or 1-2 VBSS subwoofers.

    I have two Thomann t.amps, the 1200 and the 1500, driving PA mains and subs. Silent fans, unlimited power, hefty stout build quality. Shipping was only a week or two and maybe $50. I also use their DSP - very powerful.
