I really like how they have pics of each guitar. Some weird ones but a few really nice flame tops.
I just realized the guitars listed/pictured on zzounds is different than the ones listed on AMS music.
Between the 2 places you can pick from 14 different guitars.
Anyone care to tell a noob, whats so special about this compared to a $500 guitar?
It's made in the USA with superior materials and components than your average $500 guitar. Guitar quality is a scale of diminishing returns, prices go up exponentially with quality.

Main differences are USA made, nitro finish, plecked from the factory, solid, thick flame top (no veneer), fret nibs (binding over the frets). Typically better hardware. USA pickups and electronics.
That said, expensive guitars aren't a requirement to make good music and get good tone. I have guitars I bought that ranged from $80 to $4k...and my favorite 2 is a 2016 gibson les paul standard that i got used for $1800 and a squier 51 that i heavily modified that i bought for $120 (and put about another $200 in it). Both also get complimented on their tone.

AAA flame maple top on it.
I already have a 2021 Gibson Standard 60s with the slimmer neck which I prefer, so for that reason I am out.
