This has been going in and out of stock. This is the lowest price I have seen this for.

Using new generation of 3D flash memory: Capacity, performance, and durability are greatly improved.
PCIe interface - Supports latest NVMe 1.3 protocol.
M.2 2280 specification: Supports the next-generation platforms of Intel and AMD. Suitable for both desktop and notebook.

64 bit TLC was "new generation" a long time ago! The performance of this also depends on whether you get one with Phison or SMI controller. The comparable Silicon Power almost always is a better option at the same price or a few dollars than Team products.

Given the small price difference between the discounted Samsung and SK Hynix these days, don't see the appeal of these even at this price and 3 year warranties unless you are scraping your last dollar.

Which discounted Samsung drives are you referring to? Like the 970 EVO plus for $107?

I've had good luck with the Team Group brand. 3 year or 5 year warranty doesn't really matter much if the drive fails. Either way you lose your data. Show me a comparable one at this price point. I am going to use it for gaming as my second drive.

The MP34 is supposed to come with the Phison controller. https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...,6181.html

This one is the equivalent of 970 Evo, not much point there. The one to upgrade to would be the 970 Evo Plus or the SK Hynix P31. They have both been down around $85 in deals.

The Silicon Power A80 for a few dollars more than this one would be a better bet at the bottom end.

The Silicon Power A80 is the direct comparison with a better reputation in nvme drives.

Don't be silly about warranty not mattering. The warranty is directly related to manufacturer's sense of its durability. Plus getting a replacement with no cost and loss of data is better than just loss of data and having to pay for it in the two years beyond warranty.

May or may not. Team seems to use whatever is available at the time.

Just how many TB do you think you can write in 5 years before warranty expires? It is 1665 for SP 1TB. Where did you see 500 in the review I linked?

The difference between the two is the difference in the number of premature death reviews between them.

Shilling for Team is a lost cause unless it is for one of their better ones up the chain, like the Cardera series.

Can you find me a better deal on a 1Tb one for $70?

Just received the MP34 drive. Apparently Newegg info is wrong as both the box and drive itself show a 5 year warranty.
