Can they get pretty dim? I get annoyed with how some bulbs go from medium to off

In my experience, they do get really dim.

These are awesome. I got some for my rentals. They are really large though. Won't fit a standard closed light fixture like a dome fixture.

If there's no 3 way switch, does it default to 150W?

The default for this lamp is indeed the maximum brightness.

This lamp is dimmable, meaning it can be controlled by a dimmer.

This lamp is NOT a 3-way lamp, meaning it does not have support for a 3-way switch such as in some floor and desk lamps.

Good luck!
Jon

Good item to point out: this is an A21 lamp. The number after the A represents the diameter of the lamp in eighths of an inch. I've attached an image for reference, but that means this lamp's diameter is 2 5/8" vs. a more typical A19 which is 2 3/8" an A15 ceiling fan lamp which is 1 7/8" in diameter. Those diameter changes also affect the lamp's overall length. with A19 lamps typically being under 4.5" whereas A21 are closer to (and often over) 5".

Good luck!
Jon

My experience: 7 failures (of 32 of these exact bulbs) within 6 months of purchase. These just don't last as long as other Philips LEDs out there for some reason.

While they were under warranty, doesn't really help that you must pay to send in the bulb for Philips to check and wait weeks to POSSIBLY get a replacement.

Wow trending back for warranty will cost more than getting a new one.

Agreed! Reviews on Amazon reflect the same experience as me. If you can find them this cheap, buy away, but buyer beware that the life is not like other brands of LEDs I have used where they last a decade or more.

yeah actually I think I got this 2 yrs ago. It lasted 6 months and then it failed. I got a replacement and used it for another 6 months. Then it failed again. So it hasn't lasted for very long.
