Am I missing something, price history shows this being fairly regular pricing. Some volumes were as low as $10 earlier this year.

Also, Vol. 5 isn't on sale.

Sandman issues have been collected in many different combinations & editions. Most commonly, you see the volumes, of which there are 10 total. This edition is the deluxe edition, which collects about 2 volumes for each book, so there are 5 books total. It's newer too so I think they recolored some of the pages (most notably in the Hell scenes). As far as I can tell from searching the internet, this is the best price the deluxe editions have ever been sold for the Kindle version.

Book 5 has just been released, which is why it's not on sale. I think its release may have triggered the publisher to put the other 4 books on sale.

Really? I've searched & found a site that confirmed that this is the lowest price the deluxe edition has ever been. Are you possibly thinking of the volumes (which are half the length of these deluxe edition books)? The volumes definitely go on sale for half this price.
