The A80CJ is the same set as the A80J at other retailers except you get free - 2 yr. Bravia Core Streaming + 10 Movie Credits at Costco.

I purchased for $899.97 @ Miami Lakes Costco. Item 9855080. There are only a couple left.

The new model (A80CK) that replaced it gets identical reviews but only has 1 yr warranty from Sony. This model has 3 years warranty from Sony.

Total of 5 years if you pay with Costco CC.

By the way, it is not exactly the same as the regular A80J. This only scored fair for hdr performance in Consumer Reports testing while the A80J scored good. This was true for the 55 and 65 inches.

interesting. can you send the link? I read the technical difference was one physical button and the club version just had more streaming credits.

Can't send a link because you have to be a subscriber to see it. But here's the hdr text for the A80CJ

HDR performance had very limited effectiveness. In our tests, the display showed Good peak brightness capability (by HDR standards) and did a fine job displaying the benefits of our HDR 4K content. But it revealed only a little contrast between moderately bright and very bright highlights, while the brightness levels in the mid-to-lower tones, like those in an indoor scene, were preserved. In HDR mode this TV only allowed us to optimize the Brightness, Gamma, and Peak Luminance picture settings. All other settings were as they were for the standard-dynamic range (SDR) HD picture. It did a good job reproducing a greater range of nuanced shadow detail, from black to white, with no obvious banding within the gradually shaded areas, but we noted some loss of detail within the highlights of the brightest areas. Brightly colored objects remained nicely saturated.

Thats very interesting. According to Sony, the components and specs are exactly the same. I assume the models were tested in different sizes. Can you confirm? If so, that's the difference. They should be identical by size.

The following is also a response to a question by Sony:

Q: Are there any technical differences between the 77 inch XR A80J and XR A80CJ ?
Asked 11 months ago by Robb.

A:Hi Robb, Thanks for your inquiry. The specifications and features of the A80J and A80CJ TV models are the same with 1 exception. The CJ model has a hands-free voice assistant. The other difference is their warranty. Sony provides a 1-year limited warranty for the A80J model, while the A80CJ has 3 years (membership-only clubs). TVs purchase from membership-only clubs has special warranty terms. Hope this helps! Regards, Jess

I double checked. In the current ratings the 65 inch versions of the CJ scored fair and the J scored good for hdr performance. Was able to find where last year the 55 inch A80J scored good for hdr performance. Couldn't find the review for the 55 inch CJ. Sometimes the club models score the same, lower, and sometimes higher. I just know when I was at Best Buy and got a chance to take the A80J out of vivid mode it got so dim even at max brightness. That's why I got the LG G1 when they were both going for $1000 a couple of months ago.
