I'd go for the 32GB if you want to upgrade. The rest you can do yourself if you feel the need.
I'm going to guess it really isn't worth it though unless you really need it.
The cost to get an OEM battery will exceed what it'll cost to install at build time and void any warranty. If you are upgrading RAM and doing a custom build you should be spending $ to get bigger battery, also backlit keyboard...
I have a T14 g3 that's spec'd out, excluding the 4k display (intentional). If there's a desire for a better screen with everything spec'd out, albeit with worse cooling, check out the X13.
This model -- 21CM0024US -- with my super EPP discounts was around $1300 when I was shopping a few weeks ago.

I admit that I am one of those wacky dudes that buy the cheapest battery on ebay that fits. So far it's worked out.
What are the odds I can find a 100% sRGB replacement screen in the aftermarket to swap in?

Search for T14 on SD. You need to sign up for Perks at work.
Do those purchases get cashback from anywhere or the Amex offer?
And, supposedly, these new chips make good use of fast DDR5 (6400 in this case).
300 nits is sufficient for most use cases.
your $ should go to buying the bigger battery option, getting 32gb DDR5 (it's soldered ram) & at-least 1TB storage.
