Does this duo lens camera count as 2 separate cameras? I have a Synology and I don't want to buy 2 licenses for 1 camera.
I think it does, how is your synology working out? I have 5 cameras and just got it. I have a little lag on the notifications and playback. 920+ 12 megs ram and 4 drives. 2 surveillance drives just for the surveillance side.

For the most part, it's working out fine. It's fairly smooth when rewinding although I find the interface easier/smoother when checking on the phone versus on the desktop. My biggest complaint is the time can get out of sync with each other. 2 of the cams would be off by an hour despite me adjusting for daylights saving many times. Even the ones that are synced are off by < 1 minute. Ideally they should all be exactly in sync. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong on the camera side or the Synology side.
Overall, I'm happy enough that I am thinking of expanding my # of cameras and this one was interesting. If this camera is seen as 2 cameras, does it still at least use 1 POE connection?

It was $50 but it looks like it went up to $65. It's something that goes on sale and you can typically find them cheaper though. For example, Amazon sells the license and there are typically deals where you can get it up to 40% off by using 1 Amex point.
bought two, will see how they work with Bluiris, I haven't found anything on the web to get a single stream of both cameras together, but there is a setting in BI that allows them to handle as a group

I would consider the Annke version of this type of camera .. recently it was a deal posted here ..

I like how Annke posts their specifications very clearly. I'll have to set up a watch see when they go on sale again

How much is the license per camera?

I'm still waiting for that camera to be shipped so wondering if it makes sense to cancel that and go with this.
