Can you explain how this works? What app to use for emulator and then how do you actually download the Roms?
Plenty of YouTube videos on how to sideload Google play and also YouTube videos on what emulators are good. You can look those up yourself, we don't need to walk you through it. Roms are illegal so we certainly aren't going to tell you how to go get those, but you can also look up how to use torrents and that is enough to guide you to the Roms. Welcome aboard matey. Yo ho yo ho.

The emulators and roms I am referring to are gaming roms and console emulators. I believe the original question asked about emulators and roms. A custom rom for the device itself would not require an emulator. And a custom rom wouldn't come from the Google play store. I believe people are talking past each other here.
If you want to play console games on an amazon tablet look up YouTube videos on how to sideload the play store, Google the best emulators to use, and watch YouTube videos on how to find and use torrents.
If you want a custom rom for the tablet (think of it like a custom operating system), go to xda developers or other forums and see if custom roms are being created for these tablets.
Video game roms and emulators are a slightly easier process than installing an entirely new rom (operating system). I've done both but I'm sure someone can explain the difference better than I have.
Pretty sure he was talking about game ROMs and emulation. Those are illegal especially if you dont own the physical game.
Custom Android ROMs aren't illegal yet. They might include apps that aren't free. AOSP (Android open source project) is open source. Play store and added libraries/functionality isn't part of AOSP.
For the fire tablets, play store can be side loaded ("installed unofficially through other means besides using Amazon's store") and that allows you access to all the Google playstore goodies. You do not swap out the OS for this. So no "ROM" business.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure I was clear in what I was talking about, especially when I am discussing torrents. People just have to chime in if they sense the slightest error (even if none). They even down voted you!
