This is the normal price for the two $27 knives.
Nice deals. You can never go wrong with a Victorinox. I'm really a fan of the Swiss Army knives with the Alox aluminum scales, but I hate the fact that none of those come with the toothpick and tweezer like most of the other plastic scaled models do. I know it keeps the profile thinner, but I particularly find the tweezers to be an invaluable addition to these knives.
The hook was not originally designed to be a carrying hook. When you lace up hiking boots and hit the nearest Swiss mountain, your feet swell up a bit after 10 minutes or so of walking. The hook is to grab the boot laces with gloved hands and either pull them tighter or loosen them until the boot is comfortable again. Even though I have read on the internet that it is for carrying packages tied with string, I don't believe the Swiss military strolls around the Alps carrying boxes of pastries tied with string. 🤔 Or maybe they do ! 😆😆. Victorinox identifies it as a multipurpose hook on their site, so I guess you can use it however you would like.

I don't need no toothpick. Big Grin I carry around those dental flossers in my car. Nothing worse than getting meat stuck in your teeth while you're out. Smilie

No argument there. I'm addicted to the Doctor's Brush Picks. I'll freak out if I don't have them after I eat.

Must.Resist. I have about 8 Victorinox knives, including one that I've had for about four decades. Can't hurt to have another one, right? Big Grin

Of these the climber has the most functionality. The corkscrew and carrying hook are really interesting and useful to have. I've had one for 20+ years. But I only carry a basic alox cadet on my keys. These red ones are a bit too Boy Scout. For hiking and camping I always carry a larger leather man wave on the belt case.

I have too many little knives already, wish they would put their watches on sale. That would get my interest.
