Let me be clear as someone who only buys IPS displays, IPS and IPS like are NOT the same. It's a TN panel and you can tell the difference between this and a real IPS side by side. f*** TN panels. otherwise the deal looks pretty solid and on par with the other 550 deal I'd choose this over Lenovo anyday if it werent for the screen.

why downvote? I'm not wrong. IPS and IPS level are two totally different qualities of display
This one has an incorrect charging block for the power of the machine. What happens is...
When playing a demanding game (I was playing Days Gone) with the battery at 100% to start. Laptop was plugged in the whole time. After 15 or so minutes, the battery was down to 87%. Basically, the charger can't keep up with the battery discharge rate. So, you will hit 0% battery at some point and you have to quit playing until it charges up again.

From what I read, the system pulls too much power for the power cord supplied. Several users ordered the next higher power cord and it solved the problem. But, that adds $99 to the price...and it's no longer a deal.
Depends what you're looking for. I've owned and returned a 3060 variant of the Gigabyte and I'm currently happy with the Lenovo.

Upgrade wise, the Gigabyte wins:

Gigabyte

3 slots for storage

2x Gen4 NVMe 2280 slots

512gb preinstalled in 1 slot

1x 2.5" SATA slot

Can use all 3 at the same time
11th Gen Intel processor supports up to Gen4 SSD

Lenovo

3 slots for storage

1x Gen3 NVMe 2242 slot

Small form factor
256gb preinstalled

1x Gen3 NVMe 2280 slot

No mounting hardware, have to buy separately

1x 2.5" SATA slot

Can only use the 2280 slot or the 2.5" slot, not both
5000 Series AMD processor supports up to Gen3 SSD

Gigabyte has more ports around the sides and back of the laptop compared to the Lenovo as well.

Where Gigbyte is lacking (FOR ME) was quality. As soon as I turned on the laptop, brand-new, and saw the backlight bleeding on the screen, I was immediately turned off. The overall feel of the laptop felt on the lower quality side when holding it and using the track pad. At the time, I thought I wanted raw gaming performance, but it turns out, the rest of the laptop mattered to me too, and the Gigabyte just wasn't for me.

The Lenovo feels 1000% better to me with the build quality and has a more professional look. It doesn't look like a laptop which has a 3050ti inside and I love that. I love typing on it and I prefer the pure black keycaps on the backlit-keyboard compared against the Gigabyte which has white/black keycaps and looks like it's backlit even when the laptop is off.

TLDR: I chose the Lenovo with less upgrabillty and ports because of better build quality.

So the Lenovo has a better screen?

IPS level display. WTF does that even imply...30% of an IPS screen? 20%, 70%

It's usually a higher quality TN panel I have had 3-4 "IPS like" displays and they are all just TN panels it's a scam

Seems like a Chinese oem laptop. Now I wonder if my previous gateway oem machine was actually a TN panel. Anyway it looks fine in YouTube reviews.

I don't know why people are downvoting you. The physical features of an IPS panel are literally not there in a TN panel. It's shady as hell to claim an "IPS" like panel if it's TN

From what I read, the system pulls too much power for the power cord supplied. Several users ordered the next higher power cord and it solved the problem. But, that adds $99 to the price...and it's no longer a deal.

Just searching through Gigabyte's laptop line up they use the term IPS level on almost all their higher end laptops. I'm guessing it's IPS but just is bad translation, understanding, by whoever is doing their marketing.

As an example -> https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-A...B09RQ75FBH
