How do you define "decent"? What do you use it for?
rtings gives same 7.5/10 score for both. But Q700B has HDMI in and optical. I will hold for Q800B (5.1.2) or Q930B (if discounted) though.
I only have the Q990B to compare to and it's certainly in a different league from that. For me, I bought it to enhance the sound on a 65" QN90B TV. I wasn't looking for stellar surround sound. The soundbar itself is OK, but when coupled with the subwoofer, it actually has "decent" sound meaning much better than the TV itself with some good bass. I liked the idea that it made use of the existing TV speakers, is configured and controlled via Smart things, and the soundbar itself is far less intrusive than one like the Q990B.
If I wanted significantly better sound, but not spend a ton on the Q990B, I'd probably wait for a deal on the Q800B. I think the bar itself is more comparable to the Q990B (vs the 6x7xx models) and I think it uses the same redesigned subwoofer, features SpaceFit, and AutoEQ, comes with eARC, and you can always add rear surround speakers later if desired.

I miss the days when we bought Audio gear based on sound. All these voice services are annoying imo.
I mean, everyone has their use case, personally I would prefer for it to have Google Assistant as well, one less device needed.
