Works with Apple iPad Pro M1 12.9" variant according to this source: https://appleinsider.com/articles/21/05/23/yes-the-old-magic-keyboard-works-on-the-2021-ipad-pro/amp/
I've had the (5th gen) 12.9" M1 iPad Pro and this (1st gen) 12.9" Magic Keyboard combo for over a year. Daily use. They fit and work fine together. I never separate them except to clean on occasion.
Added note - Well worth if if you are always looking for a way to prop up your ipad securely at adjustable angles... the keyboard and trackpad are bonus.

"The first generation of the Magic Keyboard (A1998) is functionally compatible with the iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation) with Liquid Retina XDR display.
Due to the slightly thicker dimensions of this iPad Pro, it's possible that the Magic Keyboard may not precisely fit when closed, especially when screen protectors are applied"

Yeah, that's apples overly cautious discloser... If you were to put a 5mm thick screen protector on any of them, they won't close fully.
I wonder are these new or refurbished? Price point looks pretty good
Just received mine. Brand New apple packaged. I know why they only charge $198. Cause they had to clearance out the old packaging that has the sticker which shows which generation IPad. It lacks gen 6 on the sticker.

So what your verdict on this one for those needing/wanting the magic keyboard 12.9 M1/2 Pro?
