I have owned laptops from many different manufacturers including Dell, HP, Fujisu, and Lenovo. While I can usually get 6 years of life for Dell and HP laptops, my first Lenovo died after 4 years due to CPU fan failure. My 2nd Lenovo had its touch screen failed after the first year and then had its " key stopped working after 2 years. Lenovo used to have excellent quality before IBM sold it to China. Sadly it went downhill since IBM sold it. I am staying away from Lenovo.

IBM never owned Lenovo, IBM sold Thinkpad to Lenovo only.
No touch screen is actually a feature for many of us. For my uses, a touch screen serves no purpose unless it's a 2 in 1 laptop.
Totally agree. If you don't use the touchscreen it's just an extra battery drain and lower quality display. I would pay a couple of dollars more to not have a touchscreen.
Looks like this is dead? I tried different zip codes and it is not available.
Still a living deal as of 12/7. Just picked one up today, before I even found it on SD.
Based on my limited research over the past 16 hours, this is a good price for the specs. I just switched from a gaming laptop to a gaming desktop, but I still need something for the road for work. This was top of budget for me. 16GB was essential based on my experience with web browser, conference apps, and background processes sucking up more than 8GB collectively. I just had to switch from 8GB to 16GB in my work laptop (don't tell IT that I did it myself). The 12th gen i7 is a nice bonus that adds value to this deal. Aside from random inaccessible clearance deals at Walmart and refurbished deals (mostly older gen anyway) elsewhere, I haven't been able to match this so far.

I'm 100% with all of you on the touchscreen comments. Don't use it, don't need it, won't miss it.

I've had the exact opposite experience. When it comes to computers and components, I have found the issues are more model-specific than brand-specific. If I had completely dismissed Ford as a viable motor vehicle manufacturer, as I was raised to do, I would have missed out on the fabulous experience I had with my Fiesta ST. I loved that car.

Fixed 16gb ram not upgradable, one empty sata slot so buy a SATA SSD to add or a m2 SSD to replace, if 512gb is not enough.

Brand agnosticism is healthy. I promise.
