Ive been VERY happy with mine with some mild PBO settings with it hiting on 4-5-6 cores up to 5149 on lowered voltage , other cores hit past 4900-5000 on a regular daily basis , for gaming and everyday runaround tasks . ~
So wishing for a 5900x3D or 5950x3D.... (rumors months back and the head rep mentioedn (in emails that this socket is not dead yet... he would not say anything past that ) .
Eitherway depending on everyones indivdual usage I consider this chip a nice investment since Ive owned it (21-22 months)

I just bought a 5800x3D for 360 with tax. Should i return it?

5800x3d is 10 fps faster on average than 5900x on most games but you get less cores. Depends if you want gaming or productivity. There's a youtube video out in the wild comparing various games with a 3900x, 5800x3d, and 5900x.
How much better than the 5700x/5800x is this for productivity tasks such as 4k video editing and encoding?
20-55% faster for encoding than a 5800x depending on program. In what I do it's about 40% faster. It is over 100% faster than the 2700 it replaced in my setup.

More or less power efficient than Intel lineup?
Does it support ECC?
