    I used to like contigo mugs but over time they got real nasty in the kid because they were full of springs and very very complex. This mug has a different style of lid, so I can't comment against it specifically. However, compared to the classic Contigo…

    Zojirishi is just better in every way. Better insulation, and easy to take apart lid to make sure it gets washed completely clean.

    The auto-seal lid is the best thing ever. And the quality of these things are great. but like any vacuum-insulated product, it can go from perfect insulation to no insulation at all with one drop to the ground. I think it's funny when people compare the insulation of these products. They all work the same. When you buy a new one, put some boiling or iced water it and if you can feel the hot or cold on the outside you got a broken one. Exchange it. I've bought great-value mugs at Walmart with perfect insulation.

    These things have a lifetime warranty. Eventually the vacuum seal breaks. I'm on my fourth one. Had them replace for free. Just hold on to a copy of the receipt.

    Sorry, Dude! As a former Contigo devotee, I thought people interested in a a vacuum insulated bottle would be interested in hearing my thoughts on Contigo water bottles in general and the alternative I found and think is better.
