I appreciate that you listed the button cell battery aspect right in the title.
This is a deal breaker for me. Given it keeps it lightweight...but much shorter run time and annoying vs AA/aaa options.
20 Lumen more for landfill except to score on 2032 batteries I guess
Cr2032 batteries are cheap on amazon. I wouldn't buy this to harvest the questionable quality batteries. Nor would I want a headlamp that requires them either.

You buy these things only to harvest 2032 button cells, even if they are 50% depleted sitting on the shelf, they are worth $1

I bought a 12 pack of Duracell 2032 from Costco on sale for $8, not on sale they are $14. I'm not sure it's worth harvesting these for crappy batteries when good quality ones aren't that expensive. Even with out Costco they go on sale fairly regularly for sub $1 a battery. These cheapos don't seem to last even half as long as good quality ones.

You can get a 2 pack of lithium 2032 batteries at dollar tree (well $1.25 tree now lol), for yes, $1.25 every day. They work fine, and likely come from the same chinese factory as whatever they put in these. No disassembly or risk of reduced capacity involved.

I have this for jogging in the morning and I will say the usage is very limited (I use it only as a way for cars to see me) as I don't think 20 lumens would provide any useful source of light
