The item includes 2 and there's a promotion for 2 free with it
Photos in the deal post are a bit misleading. Thought this was for the 40v, which would have been an insane deal. Also shows a photo of the rear handle, which is $259, not $199. Would recommend removing those two images from the deal post.
You do realize this saw comes with 4 batteries total? That's 2 of your starter packs worth of batteries. That's where I got the $295 from. Or does the $148 starter pack come with 2 free batteries right now for 4 total?

If you don't have an ACME near you, Shipping is Free. Just snagged this deal for the batteries and charger alone. I will probably FB Marketplace the saw as tool only. Thanks OP!
If you don't want/need the extra batteries and also prefer the rear handle, the Home Depot hack can get you the saw, 2 - 5.0 batteries and charger for $137.46.

The rear handle at Home Depot requires more work than the hack nowadays. You can't ship to home and store to cancel bonus batteries online, the cart wants same ship method.
I already got this deal from Acme, despite not needing another circular saw. I'm actually tempted to go for it again just for the batteries. It's that good a deal.

Same here. Sold the saw on Facebook for $100. These batteries are a little heavy for drills and smaller tools, though. I need to find some deals with 3.0ah batteries.

Own both and the rear Handle is heavier but so much easier to rip long cuts. Plus I prefer blade left and the rear handle is.
