I personally wouldn't upgrade to the RX 6600 from a 1070. I think the rough equivalent in this generation would be in the ballpark of the RX 6700 XT (+78%) or the RTX 3060 Ti (+75%). All depends on your needs. Maybe even an RTX 3070 (+105%), although those are overpriced still.

Which is why I put that in parentheses. Hit or miss. I've always gotten mine hit you have to work way harder than you should.
But even at $222 it's a far faster card
