You are paying for the lost feature of micro SD slot. S20 has the feature so you can add memory and storage space cheaply. Add a fast micro SD 1TB card to your S20. S21 you need to buy the largest size internal memory, minimalist storage, and keep everything online.

Perhaps a person travels to international countries, does not want to pay international roaming fees, does not want to have a foreign SIM in their phone, does not want to pay lots of money for cloud storage services, wants to easily bring files from one phone to another phone, uploading bulk videos from GoPro camera, or stays in remote areas where there is no cellular service. In that case, everything needs to be saved locally to internal memory. Save Google Maps for the countries offline, save several languages, 4K large videos, high resolution photos, high fidelity music, large documents, and offline app storage. Not everyone uses USA phones in major USA cities.
