But I've heard that the vapor max cushioning was pretty uncomfortable in general. Seems like many of the comments so far support that claim.
I'm a huge ultraboost fan and found the Nike React cushioning to be pretty good as well. Too bad these aren't on that level of comfort.

The Reacts are a little more stiff out of the box and take a little bit to break-in. But once broken in, they're super comfortable as well and stay that way.
I may give the edge the the UB's since they're a noticeable comfort from Day 1.
I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.
With that being said, I purchased them for 105.xx just a few days ago. Called Nike and got the price adjustment for $94.xx before taxes. Thanks, OP!
Agreed, older versions of fly knits were awesome. These are more for style vs comfort
