You can also buy apple gift cards at Best Buy or target and get $15 of their own gift card for free when you buy $100 apple GC. If you have their store credit card you can get additional money back. If you have a Citi or Amex card you might have an offer for Best Buy as well. Assuming you have a use for the target/Best Buy bonus gift cards and the $50 apple GC you'll get back when you buy the watch, you can get the watch for almost the same price as the Walmart deal but this would be for Gen 2 while Wally is gen1.

Here is an example I did: buy an $100 and a $50 apple email GC at Best Buy with citi card offer of $15 back when you spend 150 at best buy. Do this twice in separate orders (Citi offer can be used twice, and you can get the apple gc bonus offer at Best Buy twice as well but has to be separate transactions). Get 2x $15 Best Buy gift card and $300 apple gift card total for $270 (300 - 2x15 citi credit). Buy Apple Watch at apple online store for 250 plus tax and get $50 gift card back (and yes you can get this deal even if you pay with gift cards or apple account balance). You'll have the watch, $50 apple gift card, $30 Best Buy gift cards, and whatever you have left of the $300 after taxes (let's say you pay $15 in taxes so still have $35 left so total of $85 apple gc left) for $270. If you use all of the gift card balances you'll net the watch for about $155 after taxes which is actually cheaper than the SE gen1 at Wally (at same tax rate would be about $161).
Another benefit is that you can mix and match case color and band at the Apple Store so you are not limited to the standard combinations and potentially save money by not having to buy the band you like separately.

I was stocking up on the "Target $15 gift card when purchasing $100 Apple card" deal this week but doubled the deal up with the CashApp physical card which had 10% off anything Target. I was paying $90 out of pocket for $100 Apple plus $15 Target.
