    Um go the other way. Riedel is known for extra thin glassware. If she keeps breaking them go for dollar store (or Walmart) stems, those are very thick. The thinner they are the more expensive they are as they're harder to make and require more precision than mass produced thick ones

    Got these and was blown away by how cheap they are. You can literally feel the edge lines on the bottom and there was divots where stem met glass. Better off to spend more on a better set and be done with it….it's not like you'll ever need more than one set.

    These are not thick. They are very thin and delicate. Good champagne and beer glassware is thin because it doesn't warm up the drink as much. Just buy an extra set to replace broken ones and get used to using nice glasses.
