well when you have never heard of the manufacturer and there are absolutely no reviews - i would say its worth spending the extra money on a better spec'd machine.

p.s - i have heard of ADATA and have used their products but do i want one of their laptops? no - i do not.

OK... Let me revise my statement:
It's like asking if SomeBrandOfCarNeverHeardOf is good (priced at $15K), but saying "Hey --Check out this deal on a $40K BMW"... Don't get me wrong, I've never heard of this brand either, and def agree Asus is solid... but...

XPG is a decent brand and this isn't their usual market segment, this laptop is probably made by an odm like Clevo who does have a lot of experience building laptops. It's probably fine, but the 11th gen CPU isn't the best at this price point.
I'd say you're paying for premium features other than a last-gen CPU that most people won't mind or notice unless you're doing something relatively heavy on multithreading.

Returning it - Wifi doesn't work. touchpad doesn't work now after attempting to fix the windows activation issue
