Having a ton of issues with my g15 that I bought last week. The wifi card is crap first of all. It would not connect to my 5g network in my home. Reinstalled drivers, removed device, nothing worked. Bought an Intel card on Amazon and poof no issue connecting. Now, my son wants me to play Fortnite (im a pubg guy), so I download it download it and get warning messages that there's known issues with my graphics card drivers and it recommends me going to AMD website and download the latest drivers. Fortnite kept crashing so I gave in and went to AMD site and got the latest drivers. Huge mistake. While the game worked, everything was basically in slow motion, and now in Pubg it was like I was playing on my NES. I reinstalled the Asus outdated drivers again and Pubg is fine but Fortnite back to crashing. I'm done with this junk. It's going back to bestbuy tomorrow.

Amd gaming laptops also feature an AMD iGPU...The game is slow because integrated graphics are being used for games.

Man that sux to hear, and scary too. I ordered the Asus, but I can't access it til 2 weeks later. Can you check what the first 2 letter/digit of your serial is? I wonder if its the older version M something, or the newer 2022 version N. There are ways around it by installing the Driver in different order. From a different post that I don't know how to link: "First off, I had some issues with the latest Adrenaline which I fixed by installing the latest graphics driver from ASUS and then overlay the full install of 22.5.1. This seems to be working.." and "From what I've Googled... This is a common issue for ALL the AE laptops from all vendors. In the case of ASUS, the secret sauce seems to be to d/l the latest ASUS driver and apply it first and reboot. Then do the latest two AMD in order with reboots after each." - WillD72
But since I don't have the laptop yet I can't try it. And I understand if trying all those reinstall is too much trouble for most people, and its easier to just return it and get a new laptop.

I got my strix advantage a couple days ago. I had already ordered a new wifi card and ram for it because I had heard the issues some were having. Still waiting on both to be delivered, but I have had zero issues so far. Everything thing I've thrown at it has ran butter smooth. Also, I'm assuming you ordered it from best buy, you should be in the holiday return window, which gives you until mid January to return it.

I've actually had the G15 from Best Buy for about a week and have been mostly very impressed. The reason I'm even considering this one is the potential for the 3070 to be better in raytracing and with Minecraft specifically. I've ordered this one and it's supposed to be here Wednesday. I'll report back after I've compared the 2.

I had the same issue when I first got my g15. Warning from Fortnite, tried to install latest drivers and FPS dropped to like 7, reinstalled the driver and back to normal with errors. The trick is to download the latest driver from Asus's website and install and reboot. Then download the next to last update from AMD and install and reboot. Then download the last update from AMD and install and reboot. Do the upgrade install for both the AMD, not a clean install. This worked perfect for me twice now and it also dramatically improves the passmark score when using the built in panel. I am able to play Fortnite on the silent profile with no issues now.

bougt the g15 as well, so far it been great, but man it is lacking in usbs lol

also I liked having the mini-dv to keep mt type C open for whatever use I wanted. Overall I would have considered this against the g15 but it seems some ppl feel as a powerhouse and cooler overall system it was the way to go. Lets see after I add the USB expander and all that.

I miss my 17" screen though when I am not using external. 1440p external is next on the list, but I should prob upgrade my chair and desk first ( for the fps boost of course, lol)
