good price but my wife's 4 and even this both broke at the cheaply made clasp that connects the screen to the wristband. on the 4 we repaired with fitbit twice. the 5 we were going to do the same but she lost it at an event cause the clasp fell off.
I have this watch. The subscription just offers you more in-depth analysis of the data from the band and recommended workouts. Gps, eda, ECG, sleep tracking and all activities don't need a subscription to work.
The Fit Premium page [fitbit.com] breaks it down further but a quick overview indicates that without the subscription, "Basic insights" into "Health and fitness stats" such as activity, weight, sleep and nutrition are included for the past 7 days. Beyond that, the subscription offers:

Daily Readiness Score
Premium challenges
Stress Management Score breakdown
Health metrics trends for the past 90 days
Wellness Report
Advanced skin temperature details (Sense only)
200+ workouts
200+ mindfulness sessions
Sleep Score breakdown
Blood glucose trends

No it does not store music. None of the fitbits available in the market stores music.

Free for 6 months. You need the premium subscription to access majority of the features. Its just not very useful watch without the $10/month subscription. That's a deal breaker for me.

Fitbit's trackers are not incredibly accurate and the need for a $10 a month subscription is a deal breaker.

Any of the Garmin Forerunners at or around this price point will be more accurate and likely include better sensors and software. If we were waiting for Google to do something cool with Fitbit, I think it's safe to stop holding our collective breath at least for now.

I've had my fitbit Charge 2 for about 6 years (replaced once), but the screen finally died last night (it actually still works, but I have to open the app to see what's going on). This deal is somewhat tempting, but I think it's time for me to just stop wearing a fitness tracker. The sleep analysis part of it is pretty entertaining, but the rest of it is honestly pretty useless. Yes, it's great to stay active and keep moving, but if your goal is to lose fat, you need to eat less calories. Exercise helps this process a little, but is completely useless if you're still eating way too much food.

Not at all.

I've never used the subscription and have never even entertained the idea of doing so.

There's no need for a subscription, but you're not wrong about the accuracy. Fitbit to me is more of a toy than an exercise tool.
