Just an FYI - this company is horrible to deal with. I received my bonfire from the other deal today, and it has a big dent in the side. So I call solostove and wait on hold for over an hour, then I give up and request a callback, which comes 6 hours later. I then wait on hold during the callback for another 20 minutes.

Once I finally talk to someone, the woman curtly tells me to use their website to return the item, and that if they decide it's appropriate, I can expect them to send a replacement by January. She also says all returns are at their discretion - even if I just decided to return it because I didn't want it. Could not have put out a more "IDGAF" attitude if she took a class.

I then try to use their website to do the return, and of course it crashes when you try do so (it gets to a page that asks how I would like to return the item, and there are no options listed and the "Next" button is greyed out). So I call them back and they basically say "keep trying." No apology, no attempt to help - same IDGAF attitude.

And it appears your only option on the website is a refund that only issues after they receive the item back - no way to get a replacement. So it you buy the item on sale like this, you can't replicate the deal if the sale is over.

Just an FYI on these from a personal standpoint.

As for smoke, they're great. They burn clean. But they're basically like a double-wall stove pipe and the purpose of double-wall stovepipe is to cut radiated heat. I've found that you don't get much heat off of these things unless you're RIGHT next to it.

Better off using an old washing machine tub if you want clean burn and good heat...

Fight me.

Agree. These things are more ambiance than anything unless maybe you are using it to actually cook food or boil water. Kids like them for s'mores and I like that I don't have to wash the smoke smell off of my clothes. That said, I still like them ...but yeah, they aren't going to keep you as warm like a wood bonfire / fireplace /firepit or gas fireplace.

I really wish my company had end users like you to verify site usability.
We use an app FullStory that gives us some metrics but this feedback is golden Smilie

I know I'm a few days out replying to this but I agree that's horrible customer service. However, that's the exact opposite from what I've experienced. For your damage claim you should be able to fill out this form and upload pics before sending anything back. Normally they'll approve an exchange or if the damage is minimal they'll offer a partial refund or store credit as an alternative if you'd rather not send it back.
