Though I agree the gigabyte gaming is not an amazing card, you're comparing an entry level Gigabyte model to premium models. This competes with an MSI Ventus or Asus Dual/Phoenix card.

$100 more is negligible tbh, it has better resale value due to being higher tier, better components like capacitors and build quality, and higher clocks more often. So averaged in, you'll likely not notice the extra cost over the course of the card's lifetime especially if you plan to sell and then upgrade.
