    TD, because when I've posted a GaN deal from Baseus @ amazon and another manufacturer, SD mods shut them down, gave me strikes, etc., claiming it's a banned brand. You couldn't even spell Baseus in SD recently. Now they are somehow allowed. SD is mostly user-generated content, and SD presets it as a community but does shady deals behind the SDer's back. I assume they've blackmailed Baseus to get more affiliate money or something else. They are not transparent as one might assume.

    You mean SD USED TO BE user generated…. It seems they have made a decision last year to make it more staff driven (which based on their analysis, just more profitable for them to get people buy more expensive things people don't actually need).

    The entire forum is a lot more staff driven in the last few months compared to the years before.

    I'm sure it's more profitable for SD but it's also the death of the original SD and will loss many loyalists that have been around for years.

    I have a Baseus car charger from Aliexpress and I thought the quality is really good for the price. Honestly would buy this if I needed it.

    just because less than 100 rep doesn't mean much....new accounts are sus tho. If you watch youtube reviews....it seems quite decent quality wise. The coil whine did cause me to return a few of them.

    I am a somewhat a Baseus fanboy since I have their 160W car charger in all of 3 my cars. I passed on this because I wanted a spare Zenbook charger but I received "THIS [a.co]" GaN2 charger for $35.59 for my laptop case yesterday via Amazon with a $10 off coupon click the box coupon. I will keep the stock charger at home plugged in and take the multi-port out and about in th bag.

    that's a shame it only has 1 port for 100w capacity that's a such a waste!

    I bought a albiet bigger brick from bestbuy 90w insignia brand a few months ago for $10 on clearance only 1 port as well but at least that one came with a long usb charging cable.

    I'm going to hold out for a better deal on something with 2 or more ports.
