I play this with two adults and a 6 and 4 yo. 4 yo doesn't totally get it yet, but loves the action cards. The 6 yo is starting to catch on and coming up with strategy. So the 7+ rating is ideal but can be played with younger kids. Also with 4 players it usually takes us 30+ min, not the 15 min it estimates. But with older kids it might go faster! Very fun for a family game night, and the kids ask to play it at least once a week.
The taco and burrito playing pieces can be an unnecessary prop, so you can easily just play this as a standard face-up card game. Much simpler and quicker pace than Sushi Go, for example. We love it, but it's best to play with kids. Adults would probably get bored quickly.
