IDK how many sets I have bought over the years, the SAE sockets always are just clutter.
Lol I still have a kobalt and husky set I haven't even cracked into yet, but I feel like I need one of these, since it's at least like 150 more pieces than any of my other sets 😂
Sure, lots of sets pad their numbers with screwdriver bits, but this is absurd.
It's worth noting that the Lowes exclusive Kobalt brand is being replaced with the Stanley made Craftsman. Getting replacement tools when these break won't be as easy as it would be with another brand.

this was a completely unfounded rumor started nearly 4 years ago when lowes started carrying craftsman. since then kobalt has continued to develop the line and has released several new tools over the years, seemingly putting this rumor to bed. some people apparently still just want to run with the rumor.

Agreed. Lowes doesn't own Craftsman, Stanley does. They have a distribution agreement with Stanley to sell Craftsman tools, and they feature them prominently in-store. But no agreement or contract lasts forever, and Lowes would be unbelievably foolish to abandon the tool line they wholly own and control just because they currently distribute Craftsman.
That husky is a nice set but it's over priced at that point. It has 91 fillers at $179. I think it would be a better buy around $100. Fillers aren't always bad, it's nice to throw in your vehicle or atv and you're covered if you need them along the road.
Kobalt was putting a similar set on sale for about $100 with a regular price of $199. I have gotten several of those over the years, very nice sets.

The husky has fillers but still comes up to about 199 non filler set. The 63 deep sockets alone is hard to beat
Those 1/2 deep wells are definitely nice but have you tried kobalts 90 tooth ratchets? I really like them, they're awesome for tight places. The biggest down side to the kobalts is that the ratchet switch is reversed from most other ratchet brands. It can be frustrating you're working with craftsman and kobalt ratchets at the same time.
