You can use it for skiing too. Hell of a helmet.

Their S size is too big. Finding deals on 48cm is not easy. Otherwise I agree, good deal too.
I am in TX, so no skiing

We put our 2yo boys on trikes, and then a Strider. They learned pedals and balance. Then at 3, we put it all together and they both rode within an hour without training wheels. They never looked back and we avoided training wheels altogether. The key was getting them the lightest pedal bike we could - we went with a Trek but there are a few other options out there.
Good luck with the kiddos!

My son just turned 4 and riding with pedals. He has smaller head and anything we tried in rei and other stores was too big, so had to search online. He is outgrowing his current helmet.
we went from strider (?) balance bike to woom where I took off pedals at first. once he got comfortable, pedals on and 3 hrs later, he was riding just fine.
