Disagree I've had Hisense that's been holding up really good
While this might not seem to be any kind of slick deal to most, I have to give it a thumbs up. Because of this TV's particular size, you don't often see a nice price on it. I think it's aimed at people who are still rocking some kind of wood entertainment center, usually the kind with the piers on either side. This is the largest TV that will fit, yada yada.

Definitely an uncommon size... that 58/60" range has kind of disappeared,.

BTW, does anyone have the exact measurement of the height of the stand? I've had issues with my soundbar interfering with the remote sensor.
My 55" 4 series is exactly 2" to the bottom of the bezel. I've raised it up on a couple of 2x2"s to fix the soundbar issue (even with a pretty slim Samsung soundbar).

My advice, if it doesn't say Sony LG or Samsung don't buy it.

I had a crappy no name TV and the sound was so bad you could barely use it. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Disagree as well... I have a 50" Onn in the basement (mostly exercise videos and youtube) and the sound was passable. Picked up a cheap Vizio soundbar at a garage sale and it's a pretty nice setup on the cheap.

The 55" TCL 4 series has always been a good deal. The sound is fine for normal watching. Did add a TCL 8i soundbar at one point and a Samsung at the moment just to get Atmos. My only real complaint about the 4 series is the horizontal viewing angle isn't great. Better than the low end (crystal) Samsungs.

I'm still stunned by the quality of my 55'' TCL 6 series, got a great deal and added the Samsung 700b soundbar/woofer when the sale was posted here (and I have a Samsung phone). On top of my proclivity for music, the picture and sound is top notch (for the price point at least).

Anyone have experience using this outside? I'm currently looking for a 48-60 inch tv to use underneath a covered, outdoor patio.

Screen is pretty bright... horizontal viewing angle is the only picture issue.

Thanks! For the price and screen size, it seems pretty hard to beat (even if it craps at out after 2-3 years).
