I had the 55 inch U75H version for about 80 days before the 90 day return date. The blacks levels wasn't that good and there is noticeable DSE, picture quality always had a grayscale look, motion is bad, but the sound is good though. But overall the picture quality is average at best. I returned the set for the TCL 65R646 and this tv is amazing. The black levels on this tv is close to OLED quality. Also the colors really pop up on this set. Google tv has been really amazing since the latest update. Only downside is it doesn't upscale well for 480p content well. But who really watches 480p content a lot in 2023. I got the tv for $600 during the Thanksgiving holiday week.

Wish Costco carried the U8H, is this a bid step down from the U8H? Anything else in the Costco lineup I should be considering?
Short answer is yes but this is still a good TV if you don't need high end performance. U8 is another tier up though.
No, nothing at Costco is really going to compete with the u8 in a price to performance evaluation. Only the TCL 6 series is hitting at that level.
The Sony x90k is a nice set though if you want more refined motion and upscaling... and are willing to get less raw performance from the panel as a trade-off. Costco has it too so that's nice.

I ended up getting the U75H. I have been using a Dell 5100PM for the last 10 years at 1080i so I'm sure this will be an improvement. I considered the X90K but I have a HTPC with a Nvidia 1660 in it so I'm hoping that works well with the VRR on the u75h. I have heard that while the TV supports Freesync, GSync works as well. In any event it's Costco so I can return if something better pops up. Thanks for the Reply!
