i mean it wouldn't be surprising if it was m2.. dunno why ppl are like it's m1? you can buy the m2 off apple's website w/ student discount @500.. just google mac mini m2 student store... you don' thave to be a student

Powerful machine for just $499, especially if this for an M2 (20% improvement over M1, nothing to write home about).

However an M1 or M2 chip is more than enough for people. Pair this with a 1TB external SSD. Your golden.

Everyone talks about 8GB… go turn on your current computer now and see how much memory your using after 30 min of use. Tell me are you even close to 8GB?

If so then obviously your not the use case… but most people, editing a photo here or a video there. Surfing online, paying bills, checking email… yeah this is perfect.

Fine if you only hold onto a computer for the next 30 minutes? You might need more RAM a year from now . Storage can be added via cloud or external , RAM out of luck on upgrade
