They work really well, just prime it first. For coffee, I put hot water in it first and swirl it around, dump it before putting coffee in it. Keeps it hot for an extended time.
It is a well known Japanese brand, I bought the pair last year, mine are made in Japan.

No.
These cups keep things hot or cold a REALLY long time. They're great. I use like 1/2 the ice vs my ozark trail cups.
FYI - the silicone parts have a tendency to pick up smells. Since your nose goes right up on the cap it can be pretty off putting . Be sure to rinse the cup right away after use.
Once the smells come, bake the silicone at 250 for 30 minutes or so. Should eliminate most of the smell but coffee might linger around a bit.

Dishwashing the metal will strip the paint, which is more fragile than newer generations, but thermal performance is unaffected. I have 3 generations of these. They are the best anecdotally and in head to head test reviews. The newest versions have this cap design

The Zo is decent for a baby thermal flask, but it is useless once you get to double digit sub zero conditions.
You'll want a Stanley Quadvac instead.

"I have tested both The 1.1Qt Quadvac. The 2Qt Quadvac Thermal Bottles as well as the 27Oz Quadvac Thermal Food Jar. I have had all of them out in the cold for over 10 hours of my 12 hour shift, sometimes I don't get a chance to come in and warm up to eat until the very end and my wife can make me food or coffee the night before, I can take it in the morning and after 10 hours of being beat on by North Dakota winds at 50mph temps down to -50. My coffee and my food is still Scolding Hot. Not just like, kinda warm, steaming HOT! Oilfield Tested Tried and True. North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado."
