How do these compare to a Therbody/Theragun. I feel the generic ones are not even helpful, but used the Theragun mini and loved it.

They all come from the same factory is Shenzhen. Only difference is how much each western company spends to advertise it

I haven't used this specific model, but I've used one that cost probably around $40 abroad. Compared to the Theragun, it was kind of underwhelming honestly. Theragun kind of punches you, whereas the kind I used didn't have as much power - and also felt like it vibrated moreso than did punching.

For Theragun though - Two of my relatives said the Theragun was too powerful and uncomfortable to use on their back - even on the lowest setting, and with the regular tip. The rest of my immediate family, myself included, thought it was fine. Your mileage may vary, I guess.

I don't know if there are any stores that let you try out the Hyperice/Hypervolt(?), but that seems to be a sort of slightly cheaper alternative to Theragun. (Still more expensive than this though). I know Target used to have display units out on the floor, but supposedly they aren't activate-able since COVID....

I've also tried a massager called something like Purewave... It has a long arm so that you can more comfortably use it on your back. If I had disposable income, I'd probably pick one of those up too - since it helps to reach certain areas on the back... But you can probably mostly self-manage with something like a Theragun anyway. The power on it was decent, and I want to say it was somewhere between $120 and $160...

As an aside: I don't necessarily recommend that you do it, but supposedly the early Theragun was based off of some kind of power tool with like a rubber ball added to the end. Some people have recreated that sort of thing, but I wouldn't be comfortable doing that myself

Costco has this for $49 currently. $35 when it's on sale. It's a heavy unit, body is made of metal. The weight is good, as it decreases the vibration on the hands. Charges via usbC.
