That bridge is nuts, so many new fangled things on this thing... here is a video to click and check it out. I think having an SD pickup called a "Nazgul" might tip the scales in favor of : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iuWBlNqBGI

I'm an accomplished lead guitarist (or was in my day). Semi pro for a few years, musicians guild member, lots of studio work. I gotta say that I don't like playing this type of guitar, I've tried many times over the years and was even given one in the early 2000s for gigs by this company. I found the string spacing too small, the action too rigid (probably due to the extra tension from the extra strings), and I could never get the action right. Honestly, my recommendation is to buy a good 6 string and drop D if you want to go low. Just my 2 cents.

Are you sure you're talking about the same guitar? This is multi scale. The scale length balances the string tension to make it playable across all strings. I do find it kind of weird to play a seven string, but for me personally, the string tension isn't one of the reasons.

I don't have the mad skills for 7 or 8 strings.
