A show I would suggest for cultural shock is from the early 1970s: Emergency.

The diligent sincere honest work ethic depicted is foreign to today's modern society.

2 average guys do a hard job every day with no slacking off, no cheating, no shortcuts, no sarcasm, no pinching drugs, always doing sincere best effort. Nothing at all like municipal workers today. Very foreign.
