Nice price, but it's not the "Pro" version… Wonder what you are missing out on… Creature comforts?

Lol right? It's still ok but in today's world, 1080p seems ancient. I suppose its because it's the most cost efficient to make and profit from. I'd like to see 1444p be the standard now.
in a 15.6" with a mobile 3070 (2 years old at this point), 1080p is sufficient. you're not gonna notice a game changing difference squeezing 1440p into a 15.6" screen. and as it ages, the mobile 3070 will have an easier time pushing a 1080p than a 1440p with newer titles.
sure, 1440p will look better especially in everyday use, but not worth the framerate tradeoff with gaming, especially already considering the age of the cpu/gpu.

I'm guessing you think you're being clever but there's nothing wrong with 15.6" / 1080p. There may be more preferable size/res combos depending on who you are, but for the vast majority, we benefit from the economy of scale due to its popularity.

Nah. I have my opinion and you have yours. I can hate 1080p and you can love it.
It's that cost-benefit trade off because gamers insist on the high refresh rates, but won't pay the price for even 1440p high refresh panels.
I've been trying to sell a couple nicely-spec'd content creation laptops and getting "scolded" by gamers because they only look at GPU and refresh rate, to the exclusion of other meaningful specs.
This is gen 6 (2021), so 2 years old. Lenovo legions are highly reviewed laptops. Good value for money. Probably the best laptop you can get for a 1K. If you can only do 1K, that's fine, but if you can afford to spend another $350 I would go for current gen (gen 7 2022, 2023 gen 8 is not out yet) Lenovo Legion 5i Pro and get much more laptop for only a little bit (these days) more.
You get a gorgeous 16" 16:10 2560x1600 500 nits screen. This non pro laptop is 300 nits only and obviously lower res and worse aspect ratio (IMO). 12th gen Intel CPU, 3070TI vs 3070, bigger touch pad. You lose 1tb of storage, but pro has faster gen 4 ssd. You also get faster next gen DDR5 ram. Latest 6e wifi vs 6 (probably won't matter to most people), and bigger battery. Just stuff I noticed checking specs out real quick. IMO you get so much more laptop for not much more that it's not even close.

$350 is nearly 35% more, so I wouldn't say it's not much more. you can (almost) buy a console, put food on the table for a month, etc. For many, $1k is already stretching the budget, with $1400 being out of the question. of course the specs are better on paper on almost every way, but when you're just using the laptop, the experience isn't necessarily going to be 35% better.
1080p vs 1440p isn't too crazy of a difference on 15-16", 300 vs 500 nits isn't too drastic when using it indoors, gen 3 vs 4 ssd doesn't matter for gaming (yet), and whether the 3070 ti vs 3070, 12700h vs 5800h, and ddr5 vs ddr4 culminating to that much better performance will differ from person to person and what you actually do with it. When someone is just playing a game, they're not gonna go "I wish I had 200 more nits" or "I can feel the slowness of DDR4".
for enthusiasts, yes those numbers on the spec sheet might matter. to the average gamer and the average person with limited funds, the opportunity cost of that $350 is too high for a slightly better gaming experience.

No cause it makes perfect sense for that screen size.... unless you want to destroy your eyes, whats the odds that you guys wear glasses and or contacts...?

Will 15.6" and/or 1080p displays ever die?
