I can confirm this works. Just purchased using my phone. My membership expires this month so I used a different email addy & credit card & it went through. I did have to change the name on my free household member by adding a middle initial, the submit button wouldn't work otherwise which was weird. Bummed that the Groupon 20 deal expired before the 31st so this worked out well. Ty op & repped.

Oh and I do not have TMobile either.

Is it possible for the free household member to keep their membership ID when you do it this way? My father uses the the physical card and not the app

You will get a new membership # & your free household member will also get a new (different from yours) membership #. They are listed in the confirmation email under each person's name. You can just switch your new membership # online or in the app, but he will have to get a new id card the next time he's in the store if he refuses to use the app. His old card with the old id will expire when your old membership expires & won't be usable.
