Is this a garage ready model? I'm looking for a second fridge for the garage. Shopping for a family of 5 at warehouse clubs means the main fridge is always too full. Thanks and reps.

Curious what is considered a garage ready fridge.
If you live in an area with extreme temperature changes thru the year, and the garage is not heated / cooled, the fridge may not work well. So special models are made for withstanding such surroundings and for the sensors to work to cool things down inside the fridge and freezer compartment despite the ambient cold. They're called garage ready.
Im a little reluctant to buy used.. having worked in veterinarian office where they store doggy and kitty poop for worm analyzation.. Blood banks, homeless camps, the list goes on.. I want my garage frige chilling my beer that does not have previous funk in it.

Further to what I said above. I found a review from 2 months ago from profile name Thor and I quote verbatim:
"Pay attention if you want to use this in a garage that experiences cold temperatures. The refrigerator works just fine, but the way it's designed, it only generates cooling in the freezer compartment and passes cold air to the fridge compartment when the fridge is getting too warm. So I bought this in September, and it worked fine, but when the temps dropped by December, the fridge was always cold enough and never needed cooling, so the freezer never got triggered on and always stayed at the same temp as the fridge. Frozen foods weren't staying cold enough. Ice cream melted, etc. I had to throw away a bunch of stuff. Repair guy came and explained that it wasn't broken, it just isn't designed to operated in a cold garage. It needs to be in an environment between 55-75 degrees or some such, but of course that wasn't anywhere on the listing. By the time I realized what was happening, I was just outside the 90 day return window and Costco won't accept a return, which is garbage. This is a fail, Costco. I'm greatly disappointed in the outcome. I'm going to have to keep a partially operable fridge or find a place to move it indoors or sell it. So annoyed."
So this is the kind of thing I was looking for. There are many positive reviews that show up when I search for keyword garage. But this one seemed most relevant and informative to me for my purposes. I'm not able to link that review directly from my costco app to SD app on the phone but you can look for it too.
Another review negative for garage placement and negative experience dealing with Whirlpool and Costco:

"We bought this unit as a backup to use in the garage. It worked great until the weather turned cold. At that point the freezer would only cool down to 10 degrees when it should be zero. Whirlpool won't authorize warranty work because it is located in the garage. Costco won't take it as a return because it is outside of the 90-day return policy for electronics. If you plan to use place the unit in the garage and you live in a cold weather climate, you would be better off looking for something else that comes "garage ready"."

My recommendation is to get an Upright Freezer. To me, the convenience of finding the items is far more important than efficiency.
