Nice to see this mentioned. Good on ya.

It should be fair to note that what they did was use better controllers/components, but still wrote the official specs as if they used the slightly less-good components. So when the drive initially released, and reviewers all wrote/recorded their reviews, they all gushed over the performance and how it out-performed even ADATA's listed specs. Then, after some time, ADATA started using components that more closely hit their listed specs.

Either way, it will at least do its advertised speed. It's PCIe Gen3 anyway, so if 5 or 10% performance is an issue, you should be looking at Gen 4 drives anyway.

Just wish this was the 2TB drive. I would be on it.

I'm going to copy and paste my recent ADATA support experience whenever any of their products show up:

I am in the RMA process right now, and it is really bad. Very difficult to track the process or even reply within their portal to the case/RMA instance. No direct communication and all I've been able to squeeze out of them is that they allegedly haven't received my drive even though USPS tracking indicates it was delivered to the front desk at the address they had me send it to. This has been going on since late December.

I will never buy another ADATA product.
