Good reviews on Amazon and CCC shows this is an historic low price. I have been looking for a few weeks and just pulled the trigger. Thanks OP!

If you just need a saw for smaller cuts then this is fine. If there is ANY chance you'll want a tool line with Blower, trimmer, edger, weed-eater, inverter, chain saw, pole saw, lawn mower, etc hold out for the 60V. There are absolutely killer deals from time to time directly from Greenworks. I have the 18" saw and it's a torque beast. Enough so I sold my gas saw with no regrets even as a tool hoarder. The stand-alone stick, bladed edger is a highlight since those are hard to come buy. I think it was around $80 with a deal. The saw was probably $125 with a deal. You can research on here if you want.

Thanks...I was on the fence, but I think I'll hold out for the bigger stuff. I'll probably keep my farm boss forever, but I think my 14-18" bar saws can start being replaced by electric.

Yeah - don't blame you. Farm Bosses are nice. Mine was a PIA Poulan so I was ready to get rid of it. Usually with my brother and dad cutting wood and they both have multiple gas saw so i have a niche usage where I can jump out of the truck and cut something across the road really quick with little effort. And for that, I also have a smaller version of this, the 10" 24V that I used to use. Now I don't have a need for the 24V since I have the 60V but the 24V still a decent little saw for that niche. So really depends on your needs. You might be better off getting a smaller 24V saw and using your Stihl for anything bigger.

How does the Greeworks saw compare to the Dewalt 20V 12"? I have the Dewalt and I have to say it is really a handy saw, I reach for it most times instead of my larger Farm Boss

For work, we tested out all the lines of saws. The Makita was the winner bc it never bogged down or had that protection shutoff circuit that activates often on some other lines, like GW. The Dewalt and GW are probably pretty comparable. My brother has the 20V pole saw and loves it. I have the 60V GW pole saw and its pretty good. I have teh 24V GW saw and it's decent but requires a few start and stops on anything larger than 4".
